DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN DELHI – FLIGHT TO LUCKNOW – DRIVE TO SRAVASTI
Arrive at Delhi Airport at 00:25 hrs. Take a connecting flight to Lucknow. Upon arrival, drive to Sravasti (approx. 173 km, 4.5 hours). Upon reaching, visit Jetavana Vihara, the Anandabodhi Tree, and the Angulimala Stupa. Check in to the hotel. Enjoy lunch, dinner, and an overnight stay in Sravasti.
DAY 2: SRAVASTI – LUMBINI (NEPAL)
After breakfast, visit Saheth and Maheth—important archaeological sites. In Saheth, explore Jetavanarama, Gandhakuti, and Kosambikuti. In Maheth, visit Angulimala Stupa (Pakki Kuti) and Anathapindika Stupa (Kacchi Kuti). Return for lunch, then drive to Lumbini in Nepal.
Important: Travelers must obtain a single-entry visa for Nepal and a double- or multiple-entry visa for India.
Upon arrival in Lumbini, check in to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 3: LUMBINI – KUSHINAGAR
After breakfast, visit the sacred landmarks of Lumbini, including the Ashoka Pillar, Holy Pond, Sala Tree, and Maya Devi Temple. After lunch (or packed lunch), drive to Kushinagar. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel.
If time permits, visit Mahaparinirvana Temple and Rambhar Stupa. Alternatively, these sites can be visited the following morning. Dinner and overnight stay in Kushinagar.
DAY 4: KUSHINAGAR – VAISHALI – RAJGIR
After breakfast, depart for Rajgir, stopping en route at Vaishali to visit the Ashoka Pillar and the Relic Stupa. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Continue your journey to Rajgir. Check in at the hotel, followed by dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 5: RAJGIR – NALANDA – BODHGAYA
After breakfast, explore the Buddhist sites in Rajgir, including Gridhakuta (Vulture’s Peak), Venuvana Vihara, and Bimbisara Jail. Proceed to Nalanda and visit the ruins of the ancient Nalanda University, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After lunch, drive to Bodhgaya and visit the Mahabodhi Temple. Dinner and overnight stay in Bodhgaya.
Note: If time permits, guests may revisit Mahabodhi Temple in the evening. Optional stop at Tapovan (hot springs) en route.
DAY 6: BODHGAYA – FULL-DAY SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast, visit the Mahabodhi Temple and the sacred Bodhi Tree. In the afternoon, visit Sujata Village and the Niranjana River. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 7: BODHGAYA – VARANASI
After breakfast, depart for Varanasi. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Later, visit Sarnath, including the Sarnath Museum (closed on Fridays), Dhamek Stupa, and Chaukhandi Stupa. Dinner and overnight stay in Varanasi.
DAY 8: VARANASI – FLIGHT TO DELHI
Start the day with a sunrise boat ride on the Ganges, followed by a visit to Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Transfer to the airport with packed lunch for your flight to Delhi. Upon arrival, explore the National War Memorial and drive past India Gate, Parliament House, and other government buildings. Visit Akshardham Temple and enjoy the Light & Sound Show. Dinner and overnight stay in Delhi.
Note: Akshardham Temple is closed on Mondays.
DAY 9: DELHI CITY TOUR
After breakfast, visit Raj Ghat and Gandhi Smriti. After lunch at a local restaurant, continue to the Lotus Temple and Qutub Minar. Time permitting, visit Janpath Market for shopping. Dinner and overnight stay in Delhi.
DAY 10: DEPARTURE FROM DELHI
After breakfast, check out from the hotel. If time allows, enjoy a short city drive, revisiting key landmarks such as the National War Memorial, India Gate, President’s House, and Parliament House. Later, transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
